PHOTO OF THE DAY- Fishermen in Kyoto
This was in a Japanese village that was 1000’s of years old and had a rich history everywhere you looked. There was evidence that the village still relied on the river as a source of fish as there were boats lined up and down this river. I was standing out on the fork where this river split into two directions exploring when from out of the fog up stream came this traditional fishing boat. It was interesting to watch how easy the boat was to propel along with just a pole and how the guy in the rear of the boat would steer with an oar in the water. Thought it was a beautiful opportunity to capture an image of the past and share it with everyone 🙂
